It made me think of my top 5 NBA logos of all-time, so here is the list! My favorite era of basketball was the 80's and 90's and you will see that in some of these logos. I would love for you to comment with your approval or your top 5!
5. ATLANTA HAWKS (1972-1995)
Growing up I always thought that Dominique Wilkins was a ton of fun to watch. Between the awesome jerseys that the Hawks used to rock and the Human Highlight Reel, I always associate the Pac-Man logo with the glory days of the NBA.
4. ORLANDO MAGIC (1989-2000)
There definitely was something "magical" about this team in the 90's. Penny & Shaq were so much fun to watch and those pinstripe jerseys were great.
3. MILWAUKEE BUCKS (1968-1993)
Growing up in Wisconsin I have a ton of respect for this logo. Of all the logos the Bucks have had over the years, this is by far the best. I always wanted them to bring this one back, but I can't argue with their fresh new look.
2. CHICAGO BULLS (1966-Present)
This logo is timeless. They've never changed it. You can't argue with success. I was a Bulls fan growing up and loved MJ and all the teams of the 90's. My room was plastered with Chicago posters and I truly love this logo. For me, it's more of a "heart" pick than a great logo.
1. BOSTON CELTICS (1995-Present)
This logo is great. I like that they added the color to it in the mid-90's, but their tradition is phenomenal. I used to have a VHS tape called "NBA Legends" and the one with Larry Bird and "Smalltown" in the background always gave me goosebumps. Ever since I saw that video I loved the Celtics brand. HONORABLE MENTIONS
These are a few teams that could've easily made the list, but came up just short. I have so many fond memories flipping through old 1990 NBA Hoops cards and organizing everyone by the team they played on. So many of these old school logos were on those cards and it brings back good memories!
